...... can I recommend that you all seek out this wonderfully evocative release of strange electronic tonalities by Roj which is due for release on Peter Strickland's rather fine Peripheral Conserve imprint. The track "Home Telescope Kit", in particular, is one of the most beautiful musical compositions I've heard for ages with it's shimmering tuned percussion, deep sonorous brass and weird space echo passages of childlike wonder. An absolutely stunning release and probably not going to be availiable for long. More info here.

Normal Transmission Will Resume Shortly
...... the flip flops, the sunglasses and this rather fine book have been packed. A Sound Awareness is off on vacation for a couple of weeks but don't worry, there'll be more cultural oddness to follow soon.

All WIll Be Set Right Mix
For those of you that missed this rather fine live event in Los Angeles last month, here's another chance to listen to Doug Shipton's live mix of curious electronics and 'weird gear' Neotantrik synth haze which he performed as part of a two day event curated by the ever expanding musical collective Neotantrik. Many thanks to Cinefamily and Mount Analog in LA for the kind permissions. ...... and for those who enjoy this curious musical missive you might want to check out the rather fine Neotantrik lp which drops this Thursday. Enjoy!
