A Toast

It's the last day of 2012, so here's a little spoken word curio to toast the New Year. This recording features the rather sonorous vocal tones of actor Gavin Mitchell and was written by a bloke who finds both drawing and the formation of letters a bit of a challenge. I should probably mention that this recording is not suitable for those of a sensitive nature or indeed small children and most places of work. I've posted it on Soundcloud which unfortunately has a limited number of downloads but if enough folk nag me later I might post it up somewhere else. Time to raise a glass.

Here's a little project I helped create. I'd almost forgotten about it but a small box of 7" singles arrived on my doorstep this morning and when I opened it I got a little excited. Probably more so than I should of. I did the audio warble and some other bloke scrawled the artwork and wrote the lyrics. I rather like them. Dinky little things. Maybe, it's because the covers look so rubbish, maybe it's the pink vinyl, I really don't know. There's more information about the project here. Oh and the price tag, absolutely mental.

I Am Good

Whilst driving to work this morning, I began to listen to an old recording I made a few years back.  I'm usually the last person to give a positive critique of my own work but I quite liked this song. It's kind of folky and slightly warped and it seemed to complement this morning's dreich Scottish weather. See what you think.  It also gave me an excuse to publish this rather lovely picture.

A Boring But Polite Public Notice

How chuffed am I. This morning, A Sound Awareness was linked to this rather wonderful chap's website.  He's a bit of genius but we won't hold that against him.  In his honour, I'm posting another of his artworks.  He'll probably sue me for using it as he sent me the following terse reply when I emailed him to seek permission for the first image I posted.
